Our busy, progressive, small animal only practice, is growing! We are looking for a fun, energetic small animal vet to join our busy team.

Conveniently based in Glanmire, near Cork city ( Ireland) (with a branch clinic in Cobh) we are a 100 % small animal practice. Our hospital has lots of nice toys including ultrasound, in house haematology and biochemistry, urinalysis, digital radiography,  tonometry, dental surgical facilities etc. Our fantastic support team consists of a practice manager, a receptionist and 3 fully qualified registered veterinary nurses.

Week day hours consist of a mixture of shifts, with an even balance of medicine and surgery between all vets.

Our medical appointments are 30 minutes long, to facilitate a full exam and discussing cases with owners. It also allows time to write files after each patient - no more trying to remember what vitals belong to which patient!

We currently provide our own out of hours service- this is both supported, and shared equally between all vets.

This position is a full time, permanent position. However candidates seeking part time hours are welcome to apply, as it may be possible for two part time applicants to cover the hours available.

CPD is actively supported and facilitated in clinic via journal clubs and discussion sessions. Staff are also encouraged to pursue CPD outside our in house sessions via certificates or courses.

The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in both medicine and surgery. Good communication skills and time management skills are also essential. Experience is preferred, however we are happy to support a new graduate.
